FACE DOWN: New Song Posted Online

February 22, 2007

FACE DOWN, the reunited Swedish outfit featuring former THE HAUNTED singer Marco Aro, has posted the following update on its official web site:

"We've uploaded a brand new song, entitled 'Irreversible', off our pre-production demo which we finished late 2006. The song is the first studio recording to feature new drummer Chris [Christofer Barkensjö; KAAMOS, BLACKSHINE] (who's been in the band a year now),and you can find it at our MySpace page. Head on over there and listen to the song, and make sure you let us know what you think!

"Songwriting is progressing steadily for the next album, and we're just waiting for word on exactly when we can enter the studio. More updates on that shortly.

"Last but not least, we'll be playing at the Metalbar Rotundan in Mariestad on Saturday, March 24. Possibly one of the last times we'll perform the full 'The Will to Power' set, so make sure you don't miss out on that."

Christofer Barkensjö joined FACE DOWN in February 2006 as the replacement for Erik Thyselius, who will continue to be involved with CONSTRUCDEAD and TERROR 2000.

FACE DOWN entered the Swedish hard rock album chart at position No. 19 with their last effort, "The Will to Power", back in November 2005. The CD was recorded at Fear and Loathing Studio with engineer/producer Jocke Skog and was mastered at the Cutting Room.
